Tutorial: Make a cross-platform shooter game!

Posted by keyreal - October 6th, 2014

I have a blog where I publish Haxe tutorials every day. Haxe is a programming language (similar to AS3) and compiler, which makes it possible to create apps and games for a lot of mainstream platforms, such as Flash, HTML5, Windows, Linux, OSX, Android, iOS, OUYA, etc... It's the perfect development tool for indie games.

My latest tutorial series covers making a shooter game using a popular Haxe game library HaxePunk (a port of FlashPunk).

If you're new to Haxe, you can find out more here. After that, read my guide on installing Haxe and all the requirements.

The introductory tutorial to HaxePunk can be found here.

And the first part to the shooter game series is right here.

When I'm done writing about HaxePunk, I'll move on to HaxeFlixel!

Happy haxing!
